WOW!
My poem Summer
Weekends placed tenth in your poetry contest
in early 1992 and was printed in The Dirty
Dozen as well as in The Year's Best.
My article Counterfeit
Money was picked as a winning entry and
printed in your November, 1992 issue of Tickled
by Thunder.
Then
my short story It'll All Come Out in the Wash was
selected for first place in your first short story
contest. I hope readers were not confused when
the last four words -- 'her over the floor' --
were missing from the printed story in the April,
1993 issue.
For selecting and printing the above
works of mine, all I can say is 'Thank you, thank
you.'

[Editor's
response: You're welcome! . . . and sorry about
dropping those last four words to your story.]
LITERARY
DISCUSSION!
I can't
agree with your second round of criticisms of my
poem . . . I did agree with your first set of criticisms
and the changes I made improved the poem. But I
can't in honesty (or ignorance) agree to this second
set.

[Editor's
response: I don't receive a lot of letters
like this one, but it is important to admi
to their existence. Unfortunately, some writers
take criticism more to heart than others and
I empathize with that. But I can't be spending
time critiquing critiques of my critiques.
Feel free to disagree with me. In no way do
I feel I am always right.]
